On moving to London, Frank worked odd menial jobs and dated a number of girls, at least one of whom worked as a model. When he joined her at castings for moral support, he himself caught the eye of the casting director, and was able to begin a quiet but steady stream of gigs. One exceedingly hard working agent later, and Frank was reading scripts in front of casting directors for films. He had no intention of being an actor when he was young, as he'd fancied joining the army, until a psych evaluation as a teenager disqualified him. But a career found him nonetheless, and Frank took the opportunities it afforded him. A franchise film afforded him instant immersion into the business, and put him on the red carpet despite no one knowing his name. His agent made an attempt at leading man status with Troy, but low ratings assigned Frank the role of a supporting villain in Chronicles of Riddick. Though the comfortable paychecks were nice, and the perks of traveling were equally excellent, the scripts being offered to him were less than exciting, and he made an executive decision when he decided to sign on for an HBO series. His agent warned against it, that television actors were often pigeonholed as such, that he'd never find himself headlining a blockbuster if he resigned himself to second billing on a premium channel show. But Frank prevailed, as his stubbornness often allowed him to, and he worked diligently on Rome for two seasons until it was cancelled. The regular kind of scheduling that came with shooting a television series quite appealed to him, and he shelved a desire to return to the small screen after he was offered the lead role in what would be a box office failure Pathfinder. Fortunately a small part in RockNRolla as Handsome Bob helped save him. In 2010, Frank appeared as Shane on The Walking Dead, and enjoyed minor television fame, especially in the United States. He worked on Hanna during a break in the television filming. After his Walking Dead character was killed off, Frank returned to the role of Vaako in Riddick. A few iconic roles helped keep him in the public eye, even he did not choose later roles as wisely. From a vaguely memorable peripheral actor, Frank became a household face if not a household name; he is certainly more recognizable by his character. A desire to return to television in 2014 led him to appear as Mason Verger on Hannibal. The increased exposure allowed him to land his own limited series in which to star: Taboo, which will premiere later in 2016. Through his career, he has had a handful of relationships; mostly costars while on set, but also several non-industry women. He usually tries to keep the more personal aspects of his life from the press, and his stage fright keeps him from enduring too many talk show interviews. There was a brief, panicked engagement to a hair dresser in late 2012, but he separated from her halfway through 2013 and kept a low profile. Frank, having been tossed head first into the film business, still has no goal or aim for this career path; it provides a comfortable living and allows him to travel, and he feels mostly fulfilled through these two things. He lives on his own in a two bedroom flat in London with his cat, Hanuman. + Briefly studied makeup artistry before he got a modeling agent - still has an opinion when it comes to cosmetics. + Has one younger brother (Duncan, 32) he only sees on Christmas.
